Founded in 1886 by Colonel W Bannatyne, Major W Pontifex and Mr E L Hooper, Guildford Golf Club is the oldest Club in Surrey! Originally six holes, the course was extended to eighteen holes in 1901 and a new Clubhouse was built on the present site.
Situated on Merrow Downs, Guildford Golf Club is a traditional downland course and offers a challenging round that plays longer than its yardage suggests! The views from the course are exceptional and include Guildford Cathedral, the Wembley Arch and the City of London, as well as panoramic views of the Surrey countryside from all holes on the course.
As well as offering a demanding but enjoyable course, Guildford Golf Club also has a long history of hosting Golf Societies, Private Functions, Lunches, Weddings, Golf Days, Conferences and Events. Our in-house catering team are happy to provide fixed or bespoke packages to suit your requirements and help make your day a success.
For the Golfers the app features the Whole in One Golf GPS Range Finder and Digital Guide to playing the 18 Hole Championship Course. The App works as an virtual aid, giving you a 3D Flyover of each hole, and a pin positioning system.
